Facilities and Rules

The House

The house consists of 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms (two of which are en-suite). A maximum of 10 People may be booked into 6 LMR at any one time. All bedrooms have airconditioning.

Downstairs

  • Bedroom #1 has a bunk bed and a Queen bed  , #2 has 1x queen , 2x single beds & full Ensuite

Upstairs

  • Main Room has Super King bed and full ensuite
  • Room #1 , has 1 x Queen bed and 2 x single beds
  • Room#2 , has 1 x Queen bed

Bed linen will be provided and this includes fitted and flat sheets and blankets. Bath towels and beach towels will be provided. The cost of any that are lost or left on the beach during your stay will be deducted from the deposit.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, 1 large deep freeze, microwave, stove, washing machine, crockery, cutlery and glassware. Please supply your own charcoal and braai aids.

TV and DSTV are included in the daily rate.

There is wi-fi and you will be given the password on arrival.

Beaches

There are two wonderful beaches within close walking distance of 6LMR. 150 meters to the South, along Little Maritzburg Road, is Shad Lane (Catfish Beach) which takes you onto a wonderful Beach. A few hundred meters North is the Salt Rock Main beach.

Shopping

6LMR is 3.3 kilometres from Tiffany’s shopping centre www.saltrockshopping.co.za and approximately 5 kilometers from Ballito which has lots of additional shopping options.

Servicing of the unit

Daily cleaning of 6LMR is done by our staff. (This includes house hold cleaning liquids such as dishwashing soap so no need to bring these)

NB : Eunice is there to make your stay as comfortable as possible. She will gladly do washing and ironing within reason.

In the Morning

  • Cleaning of the kitchen
  • Washing up and cleaning after breakfast
  • Making up of beds
  • Cleaning bathrooms

In the Afternoon

  • Cleaning up the kitchen after lunch

Other

  • Washing floors and windows will be done when necessary
  • Eunice will also wash and iron your laundry should you wish. We just ask that you tip generously for these extra services on departure.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Overcrowding will not be permitted. No more than the maximum number of 10 people may stay on the property at one time. 6LMR is not a wedding or functions venue. House parties are therefore not welcomed. NO STUDENT groups. Failure to comply will result in immediate eviction and no refunds will be made.
  2. 6LMR is a non-smoking beach house.
  3. On arrival, an indemnity form with terms and conditions must be signed by any adults staying in the house for the duration of the stay. Parents must sign on behalf of their children.
  4. At the time of departure, the house should be left in the same condition as it was found on arrival. Occupants may be held responsible for any shortages due to misplacement, breakages or any damages to the premise. Failure to adhere to above could result in a delay of the repayment or a deduction from the deposit.
  5. Arrival & Departure Times: Check in is 2pm. Check out is before 10am on the day of departure , unless prior arrangements have been agreed upon . Should you wish to request an early check in or late departure please do so and if possible you will be accommodated.
  6. Terms of payment and cancellation: Please refer to the booking form sent to you at the time of booking.
  7. The property has a beamed alarm system with armed response from IPSS. Instructions on how to operate the alarm system will be given to you on your arrival. 6LMR will take no responsibility for theft due to negligence of security.
